E. Steven Doyle

Chief Organizer and Chief Director

Steve became the youngest certified TD in 1974. He has been a National TD since 1982, an International Arbiter, and an International Organizer. He is the only person in North America to hold the title of Honorary Life Member of FIDE. He has directed more National events than any other person.

Sophia Rohde

Chief Assistant of event

Sophia is an NTD, IA, and IO and runs highly successful scholastic and education programs in NYC. She has been on the Team staff since the 80s.

Steven Immitt

Ballroom Chief TD

Steven is an NTD, IA, and IO, and one of the most active directors in the USA. He is an executive with the CCA and runs the World Open each year.

Harold Stenzel

Ballroom Chief Assistant

Harold is an NTD and has been an active member of the “Team's Team” for decades.

Daniel Rohde

Senior TD Ballroom

Dan is a member of the Scholastic Council for USCF and has played in this event or directed since the 90s.

Nicholas Carlson

Senior TD Ballroom & membership chief

Nick is a Senior TD and Secretary of the NJ Chess Federation.

Stephen Lorimor

Asst TD Ballroom

Stephen is a National TD.

Mike Somers

Chief Results Director

Mike is a Senior TD and has been an active member of the Team's Team for decades.

Bernadette Doyle

Results Team Member

A lawyer by training and member of the results team and Team hostess. She takes care of the directors and the players. She has been part of the team since 1989.

Aaron Kiedes

Chief Pairing Officer

Aaron has worked at the Team since he was 19 years old, for almost 20 years. He runs the computer operation and is the Pairing Chief.

Justin Kohler

Chief Assistant Pairing Officer

Justin too has worked at the Team since age 19. He has been on staff over 20 years and lives in Virginia.

Noah is in college and joining us again for his third year.

Alessandro De Marchi-Blumstein

Chief Junior Ballroom and side rooms

Alessandro is a Senior TD, an active organizer, and a member of the Team Organizational Committee. This is his seventh year on staff.

Noreen Harkins

Assistant Chief

Noreen is a Senior TD and Assistant Chief. She has been a member of the Team staff for over a decade.

Dash Rupasinghe

Tournament Director

Dash is back for his second year, a local TD by training, and an excellent staff addition.

Issac is a new member of the team. He is a Local TD, in college, and excited about working his second National event.
